Yodel delivery drivers comments

Yodel delivery driver keeps making nasty comments about ddog2 now that ddog1 won't play fetch with him, she used to before we got ddog2.
I think it's partly because ddog2 isn't taken with him and barks when he comes through the gate
There is a second gate separating the dogs from people so it's not like he has to deal with the risk of a loose dog near him.

Should I send Yodel a message asking for him to keeps his thoughts to himself?
Or is that cruel right before christmas?

His comment today was unnessisary and I turned to shut the door in his face but I have done this before and he's not got the message that his thoughts are not wanted.

I would not lose any sleep over this interaction.

It’s all so trivial.

NerrSnerr · 19/12/2025 18:22

What is he actually saying?

FuzzyBumbleeBee · 19/12/2025 18:56

While trivial its irritating

Comments against ddog2 recently have been
He's turned her nasty referring to ddog1 not interacting with him anymore
He's dirty
That the house is dirty
No idea how he would know if it was but referring to the fact occasionally they poo in the garden and that it must be all over my floors.

The worst to me is that today he inferred my dog was dangerous and might bite him!
If he says this to others it could mean that my dog is classed as a dangerous dog
There have been a few attacks in our area lately and everyone is very much against dogs in general right now.

There is a 4 1/2 ft gate separating my dogs from the delivery area so unless he bent double over the gate or shoved his hand under it he can't even touch my dogs

How strange - the initial comment you mentioned sounded so trivial but the subsequent posts showed he said a lot far worse things.

Does he want to interact with the dogs or not? It sounds as if you’re saying he’s annoyed one dog isn’t interacting with them but in another he’s insinuating they’re a risk to him?

I don’t think everyone is against dogs. Pet/dog ownership is on the rise and they’re increasingly allowed in cafes, restaurants, planes, stores, supermarkets, hotels etc

He wants to interact with ddog1 on her own
She used to chuck her balls under the gate for him to throw into the garden for her
Now she's not interested as she plays with ddog2.

His comments eg worried he'll get bitten are all aimed at ddog2
He seems to think that ddog2 is a risk to him.

I know not everyone is against dogs but after an attack in our town within the last week and quite a few more attacks and incidents localy over the last few months to a year there is alot of antidog sentiment in my area.

I can’t believe you are actually giving a delivery driver this much head space.
just ignore and don’t engage

vanillalattes · 20/12/2025 15:42

I can't imagine giving this much of a shit (ha) about what a random delivery driver was saying about my dog.
