Moving house confused on shutter, curtains , etc

hi,

we are moving shortly 🤞. Not sure what type of window covering, we currently have shutters and curtains. There seems to be so much more nowdays.

Any suggestions. It is a new build and we are downsizing. 7 full length windows , bathroom and kitchen half windows.

thank you

We have day and night blinds, perfect fit blinds on the patio doors and Roman blinds upstairs. Oh and a roller at the kitchen and utility room windows.

Thank you Buscobel. We have considered perfect fit blinds , what is your opinion of them ( if you don’t mind me asking)

We also have perfect fit blinds on the patio doors, purchased from blinds 2 go. Would defo recommend them.

Make sure you get the measuring insurance - can't remember the proper name! - I managed to wrongly measure them and with the insurance they replace the blinds for free!

Depends what you like the look of. Personally I hate blinds anywhere other than kitchen or study so working rooms. Would never have anything other than curtains in a bedroom or lounge. But that's just my opinion, there are no rules.

We have looverlite electric blinds in all downstairs rooms, i love them!!! Upstairs we have curtains. I think curtains feel more cosy for bedrooms but totally personal choice.
I got our electric blinds from crosbys blinds order online

A lot of it depends on the look you are after.

At the front & sides we have shutter blinds and curtains as we like the privacy you get from the shutters but also the warmth & cozy feeling from heavy, full length, blackout curtains.
In the back we have roman blinds across the windows but curtains and perfect fit blinds on the french doors & side panels.
All the bathrooms have broad slat venetian blinds.

Roman blinds & curtains from Dunelm M2M service, second house we have used them for and not been disappointed.
All other blinds (including shutters) from a local independent, absolutely lovely.

All in all the window coverings set us back about £10k but they should see us out.👍

Roman blinds. Shutters on lower half of needed for privacy. My back is a wall of glass but I have nothing on them. In winter with the leaves gone a couple flats behind can see in at night but it’s not like I’m having hot sex on the dining table….
