Competition Winners- Are they told what to say they'll spend the money on?

Because it's always something frivolous or aspirational like a holiday or a new car or a wonderful Christmas to spoil the family.....

You never hear anyone say, 'well we live in social housing so it will help us own our own home....'

Or 'I have been out of work for 6 months so it will help us pay our bills and not rely on a food bank...'

Is it only middle class comfortable people that win extra funds for their already secure lifestyle? Surely not?

Maybe people wouldn’t want to share with total strangers that they have been relying on food banks so they give the smily generic answer and happily accept the money. If I won money I’d pay off some
debt, wouldn’t tell the tv that though.

Ok maybe not food banks but something less than perfect!

Greatest Hits Radio has that big cash phone-in draw thingy, and there’s been some people I recall on there in tears after winning saying ‘it’s been an awful year for us, you have no idea how much this means’.

So no, I don’t think they’re told. I do think that some of the ‘holiday’ ones may be presenting a front, though.
