Tickets for Musical as a Gift - any recommendations?

I want to buy my mum and her DH a set of tickets for a musical - prob just them two. Has anyone seen anything packaged like this? I swear I once saw one with a pre-theatre meal too.

I could do the meal part separately. If I buy it on Groupon, will they know it was bought through there?

I recently watched MJ the musical, I really enjoyed it. A lot of restaurants close to the London theatres do a pre-show meal deal.

Phantom Of The Opera.

It’s incredible.

Or Blood Brothers.

Can usually buy packages with something like buyagift or virgin experience days but of course limited to what is on offer.

What love of thing do they love? What have they seen before? I love some of the west end classics les mis, phantom, we took ds to see Oliver recently, but others will prefer the more modern stuff, Hamilton, Six, Hadestown etc . If it doesn't have to be a musical I really enjoyed witness for the prosecution, the setting at county hall really adds to it

Sorry - to be clear - it’s not specific musicals but recommendations for a package that I was after. I couldn’t remember the names of the companies that di this - thank you @lap90Buyagift was what I was looking for! Will look at Virgin too, many thanks! I just know they will choose Phantom of the Opera!

I've found that with the pre-packaged theatre gifts you are often really limited on which dates you can go and which seats are included. I looked at a Groupon deal recently and the supplementary costs to go at the weekend or for decent seats were huge. I'd suggest just booking the tickets for something direct or buying official theatre tokens that they can use to buy tickets to almost every London theatre on a date they want to go.

Please don't, vouchers are such a hassle to deal with, most end up unused including one we got for a specific date for a theatre that was just too impractical to travel to.

You can buy theatre vouchers and leave them to decide what to use them on,

Thanks all. I will buy theatre vouchers & they can decide. They live in London & go at least once a month so I know they will use them, but best not to be specific.

As an aside, I once had a lovely gift of tea at the Ritz & kept having to postpone but they still honoured it even a year after the date had passed.

Great advice here, many thanks!
