Has HRT in peri helped you to control the weight?

I have an appointment in early January to discuss HRT with my GP.

I am 47, changed to mini pill a few years back to control awful dark moods in PMS, which as has been amazing. Over court of this year I have started to experience few more peri symptoms and not being able to shift / gaining fat around thighs. I exercise more than ever, have a six pack and proper biceps and really feel the muscle in the legs, so I am toned but on the legs it’s all hidden under a layer of growing fat. Jeans are tight. I eat and drink super healthy. It must be hormone related.

I will ask about HRT mainly for other symptoms but it would be a nice bonus if it stops the fat growth. Just wondering if anyone else has experience something similar and if HRT made a difference?

I lost half a stone without much effort after starting HRT. I was about 3 stone overweight though.

I took Mounjaro to shift the rest. What that showed me was that in peri, my TDEE had reduced to lower than it had ever been before. I was over-eating but didn't think I was over-eating. It's quite depressing how much food I need now, tbh.

I've been on hrt for a year, and finding it very easy to put on weight and almost impossible to lose it.

I lost 3st at the start of lockdown and kept it off no problem till peri kicked in. It is SO depressing.

I've been on HRT for four years.
I don't think it has made any difference to my weight. My metabolism is just slowing down with age. I play squash three times a week and I am still having to eat less and less.It sucks!
