Heroes, Celebrations, Roses, or Quality Street?

DH and I having this discussion. Heroes are quite good except for the awful Cadbury fudge, which is like milk chocolate covering some kind of sickly, sweet vanilla flavored nougat-like material and not related to true fudge at all.

Also, what gets “left” until the end at your house?

We used to be Quality Street, but the chocolate became yukky and the wrappers ugly.

This year I've bought a big tin of M&S Big Mix, which I'm quite optimistic about.

I’ve voted quality street, but to be fair I’ve sadly not had them for years due to food intolerances. Always hated Roses (but not had them for years either!).

We like celebrations the best.

It is usually the mars bars and milky ways that get left til the end.

But we will still eat those.

With heroes- don't like éclairs and double decker get left. And no one eats the double deckers. So they wait til halloween or other occasions where we give them to someone else.

We like Celebrations. I steal all the Bounties and don’t like the Twixes. They all get eaten at roughly an equal rate as we like different things, although there’s a bit of a scuffle over the Malteser ones.

When I was growing up we preferred Roses (1970s) but they are bloody awful now. Sickly sweet with plastic coated chocolate. Heroes aren’t far behind.

All "mainstream" chocolate is rubbish now, but Celebrations from that list, although the Bountys would be left.

We buy a tin of all of them (when on special) but none of us like every chocolate in every tin.

They will all be eaten come January 1st though!

The quality street orange crunch are the best ever.

None they are all revolting now.

We've only bought Quality Street this year, and I've been gifted some Roses. Nothing gets left in our house, as we are all gloriously different! I love nuts and coconut, DD loves the disgusting pink and orange cremes, DS loves hard and chewy.

The chocolate on all of them is rubbish now. And Quality Street wrappers are just sadness now.

Tough vote! Heroes and Quality Street are in the lead with 39% and 40%. I have to agree with a lot of you though, that the quality in all of them has obviously gone down as chocolate has gotten more expensive.

Celebrations but I accidentally voted Heroes, which is wrong - the éclairs and mini deckers go straight in the bin so would be a pointless purchase.

None. All milk chocolate is vile and greasy now.

You can change your vote

In AIBU votes, you can usually just click a different option and it will change your vote. I accidentally hit YABU when I want YANBU all the time and have to change it. It also gives you the opportunity to change your vote if OP drip-feeds.

Out of all of those, Heroes is the best, only the eclairs get left.
However, best Christmas chocolate is a box of Lindt…I splash out at Christmas and buy several different boxes 🤤

I voted for Celebrations but I also like Heroes. I don't like Roses or Quality Street.

not the best now in quality but we usually have Quality Street as Roses tend to be sickly sweet things like strawberry or orange creams. this year though i am not buying a tin of sweets. last year we opened the tin on Christmas Day and they barely covered the base of the tin. this year I am buying a QS refill pack and going to have a look for other sweets we like to make up my own assortment.
