Anyone seen Hunger Games at the theatre? Thinking of splurging

I have seen it, it was interesting to see.
I'd say you need to know the books quite well to get a grasp of what is going on, as it has to move at quite a pace to fit into the run time.

The set design was very clever - 2 sections of the audience seating are moveable, so get shifted around during the performance.

I'm glad I've seen it, but it isn't one I'd rush back to give it repeat viewings.

The reviews are a bit 'meh' -- lots of spectacle and choreography, ferocious pace, no time for characterisation, acting a bit flat, some actors copying performances from the film.

Not yet but we’re going in February. Hoping it’s going to be good.
