Help me figure out how to speak to a human at Evri. The most important parcel is missing!

For the past 3 days been trying to get to speak to a human at Evri. All I get is a "sorry we have technical issues"

Please share how I get to speak to a person. Has anyone got a magic phone number to speak to a human?

It's messy.

I ordered a gift for DS2. Put it to be sent to our local post office.
Was delivered to the post office last week.
The next day post office closed down.
Was informed the parcels removed. Don't know where they went.

Got a message on Monday. My parcel delivered and signed for.
When I try and track it,not recognising my post code or the post office post code or the Sender.

Going in circles with Evri. Pressing in digits, trying their 'chat system'

And obviously it's the bloody most wamted gift my DS requested...

Arghhh.

Please help.

There is no human that works for Evri and has access to a telephone.

Phone the sender. Get them on the case.

Contacted the seller. They say they've not had it back and the tracking shows it signed and delivered to the address I gave

Yes, definitely contact the sender. There are no humans working for Evri. Their service is utterly horrendous.

In my experience of a lost parcel (dpd not Evri tbf), at the point it says it’s been delivered, and yet you haven’t got it, it probably means someone has nicked it or delivered it incorrectly and you’ll probably never see it or solve the mystery of where it went.

I agree with the pp. You’re best bet is to query with the company you ordered from and get them send a replacement asap. Let them fight it out with Evri.

Minnowsmouse · 17/12/2025 10:11

Go back to the sender. It’s down to them to sort it out.

Your issue is with the closed post office

Challenge that. Evri should be able to provide proof of delivery eg a photo.

Puppylucky · 17/12/2025 10:19

I have just been through this with Evri and didn't speak to anyone but did get a partial resolution. You need to look at the details about your delivery. There should be an option to press to see the proof of delivery photo and from that an option to report any problems. I did that and got an email back saying they would check with the delivery driver regarding the location of the parcel. They did provide a response along with another photo which helped me identify exactly where it had been left.

Chargeback from the bank as you have not received the goods, perhaps?

After Christmas, let your MP know about your experience and suggest that at the very least, before you place any online order you know who it will be delivered by.

Saddened to read of yet another person failed by the race to the bottom that is parcel delivery.

fungibletoken · 17/12/2025 10:29

Argh, what a pain. Really it should be for the seller and Evri to resolve between themselves, but as you've seen, trying to speak with Evri is like shouting into a well.

Who operates the post office? Is it one of these independent ones? I feel like you might have more luck trying to get hold of someone from there to see how the left parcels were dealt with.

Otherwise/in the meantime try and do a chargeback with the bank and get another sent out. All the best - I hope you get it soon!

Starlight1984 · 17/12/2025 10:34

Can you order it again whilst you resolve the first one with Evri / Royal Mail?

Tiggerwoods · 17/12/2025 10:43

Three missing parcels here with Evri - sent over two weeks ago. One was allegedly delivered and I was sent a completely black photo. When I challenged them and pointed out we had CCTV and nobody had turned up they backtracked. Now it's lost in the ether with the others. Seriously, they need putting out of business, permanently. Sorry I can't help but do challenge Evri over the photo.

OneInEight · 17/12/2025 10:51

I think you need to contact the Post office to find out where the parcels were sent after the branch closed down. I don't think, for once, this is an Evri issue as they delivered to where you asked them and it is not their fault the branch closed subsequent to their delivery.

Lifestooshort71 · 17/12/2025 10:57

Evri drivers get 37p a parcel and can't finish until they've dumped their load (literally). Ours throw as many as they can carry through the main door of one of the 4 blocks of flats, take one photo of the heap and say it was signed for. Mine was a large Amazon parcel (I usually use a locker) and had no idea it would be crappy Evri!! I've chatted with a bot who gave me a ref number, Amazon just say check with your neighbours and get back to us in a couple of days. We've gone to each block - my parcel has been nicked/was never delivered. SHAME ON EVRI!!

JennyForeigner · 17/12/2025 12:13

I'm sorry that I can't help either but just jumping on to say our regular Evri courier told me yesterday that he and other staff are working 28 days without a day off. They are told they have a choice in this but that if they take a day off they will find the number of parcels allocated to them unmanageable on their return.

I'm shocked by that. Poor guy is exhausted.

shellyleppard · 17/12/2025 12:16

Evri are absolutely hopeless. They supposedly delivered a parcel. However....wrong address and left behind someone's drainpipe!!! No chance of ever seeing it now

HereforonedayonlytoavoidStrangerThingsspoilers · 17/12/2025 12:20

The issue is surely with the Post Office? They signed for the Evri delivery in the first place, then they've punted the parcels elsewhere when it shut down. Most likely to the next closest Post Office. So I suggest you speak to someone at the Post Office customer service to sort it out.
