I'm completely stumped and have bought zero so far. He's asked for a bottle of the spirit he likes. I was thinking of a voucher for the local pub/bar so he can go out for a few drinks/lunch in the New Year and take me with him.

Touchscreen winter gloves - The Northface do some nice ones.
Face wash & moisturiser - Hawkins & Brimble is a great brand and very affordable.
Bread maker - and buy some premixes.
Coffee machine - a decent one, that uses beans.
Metal detector or a magnetic fishing kit.
A retractable charger for his phone (type it into Amazon & you’ll see how nifty they are).
Cheese board with chilli/chutney accompaniments.
Calendar - pick one that he can reminisce over, I’ve bought WWE, 80s/90s cars, Super Mario in the past.
Tickets to tour his favourite sports ground (Football, Rugby, Cricket)
Set of fancy kitchen knives & a knife sharpener.
Small tropical fish tank & a voucher to a local garden centre/aquatic shop that sells fish,
