Interested in what house rules/consequences you all have for good and bad behaviour in your house? I feel like ours need a new system as all a bit washy washy…! (For ten and seven y-os if relevant!)

2 hours of ipad only on a school night. They can have longer on weekends if they behave during the week. If they are badly behaved at bedtimes, they lose the ipad totally the next day. No TV before school until they have eaten breakfast and are fully dressed.

Put your own plate in the dishwasher. Put your own clothes away. Dirty clothes in the wash basket. My 3 yo helps unload the dishwasher (he does the kids plates and cups etc and I do the rest), 9 yo takes the recycling bin out and vacuums, 10 yo is generally super helpful so doesn’t have a set chore (because her brothers resist she just does as I ask when I ask).

we have toy time out. So if I say tidy up then they do t I put the toys in time out for a few days.

I would like stricter screen time rules and less pissing about at bedtime
