Bloody kids’ bike helmets

Argh. The bane of my life. Why is it so hard to get the two straps on each side equal. Is it just our family? We’ve got Halfords helmets of the correct size and they just don’t work. I’ve tried unthreading a rethreading. They just don’t seem right. Two of them.

Any suggestions for a better option?

Maybe try those helmets that do up with a magnet under the chin?

Never heard of the magnet ones, but is that what you have if you never have a problem? I’m generally quite practical and not totally stupid but these fox both DH and me. I fully accept that the problem must be us, otherwise they’d never sell any of the helmets, but it’s utterly nuts.
