Help! I need somewhere for drinks near St. John's Smith Square

I'm being taken to a concert there tomorrow evening, and I need to find somewhere nice to take the person who is taking me for drinks beforehand. I worry about a pub being really noisy this close to Christmas (and I am partially deaf in one ear) - I looked at The Loosebox but I'm worried about that for the same reason. There's the bar at the Horseguards Hotel, but that's a 20 minute walk. Has anyone got any better ideas? And thank you!

The Cinnamon Club has a couple of bars and is only a 5 minute walk away.

There’s a bar in The Millbank tower which has great views. I would avoid a lot of the nearby pubs to SJSS as they’re a bit bland, soulless and old- blokey.
