To help with sleep and help cope with work stress? I’ve read that there are two - one better for muscles, another better for mental stress. Is there one that combines both? Has it worked for you?

Magnesium glycinate is the one for sleep. Works wonders for me 1500mg before bed .

The magnesium that’s more expensive and harder to find… the magnesium in the shops with all the vitamins just makes you shit yourself within 10 minutes of taking it.

learn from my mistake.

I use the one from Nutrition Geeks and it's really helped my sleep

Thank you, all. Did you get a blood test before starting to take it?

I eat all the foods that contain magnesium, so should not be deficient, so I am not sure it’s that or HRT that I really need for this kind of flatness, self doubt and lack of confidence that feels all new…

I've tried a few more expensive brands but just switched to Tesco's own to save a bit of money and it seems to be doing the job just as well. I take it for restless legs, I have trouble with sleep too but none of the brands I've tried have helped with that.

They were some of my perimenopause symptoms. Look into creatine too. Lack of joy in anything or bother for anything was a horrible symptom for me and then started with night sweats etc.
