toasters!

I’m looking for the holy grail - a long slot toaster with 4 slice capacity (and which can handle Warburtons bread) which is not crap!

I have my eye on the Sage ‘a bit more’ long slot and the Breville Edge Silver long slot but while reviews are overall okay, there are complaints about durability and how well they toast (and fit in Warburton’s bread!).

Anyone have an amazing long slot toaster they wish to sing the praises of? Willing to pay a bit more for a decent toaster that won’t break in a year.

TIA

Should've said the bread fits perfectly and I've had it about 5 years

We have a Dualit toaster bought in a sale 5 years ago, so far so good. 🤞
I also have a Breville kettle and sandwich toaster, I rate them as a brand, but don't know about their toasters.

We always have long slot toasters. Take up less countertop space than the 4x1 toasters, and each slot can take slice of breadmaker bread on its side.

Ours are always Kenwood. Nothing fancy. They do the job and they last. We’re on our 3rd in about 20y. Only had to replace no2 because MIL somehow managed to melt it. I think she tried to toast something by placing it in a little metal tray on top of the toaster. Good alone knows why. She’s usually quite sane.

What’s special about Warburtons bread, that the toaster needs to accommodate?

Thanks all! Will take a look at your recommendations. The issue with Warburton’s bread @Aparecium is it’s shape - the top bit doesn’t get toasted so you have to flip it part way through.

I read once that someone saw a person checking out toasters in Currys with a cardboard template of a slice of bread.

I made a lasagne sheet template when I wanted a perfect sized lasagne dish (there isn't one).

Probably the same problem as breadmaker loaves: too tall. We end up toasting them on their sides, two at a time.
