Will this cause food poisoning ?

I bought my dad a chicken breast Thursday and he only used half (from butchers ) and he wrapped it and put in fridge .
Now he tells me he’s just used it today in the slow cooker casserole (so 3 days )
online it says use 1-2 days
Im worried it’s going to give him food poisoning as he’s only had it in slow cooker for 5-6 hours and not oven cooked.
Do you think he might be okay?
He just says ignore online and just go off taste etc but he has a poor sense of smell at the best of times

Most likely fine

If bought fresh on Thursday, it should be fine as long as well cooked and 5 to 6 hours in the slow cooker is certainly well cooked. I would eat it

Has it been in the fridge? If so it will be fine especially if cooked for 6 hours. The key issue is that it isn't pink inside and has reached a high enough temperature inside. Half a chicken breast is a tiny amount of meat so it would cook through in no time at all.

Yes it’s been wrapped and in fridge, chopped in pieces and cooked for 5 ish hours.
Its just when I read 1-2 days I worried a little

I'd say three days is fine. I mean as long as it wasn't reeking or discolouring. And it'll be cooked for ages.

Not sure what you’re reading, but why would it only last 1 day? You don’t buy meat and have to eat it by the next day.
