DS 16th tomorrow…. Mobile phone gaming controller…. Any advice?

Ds 16th birthday tomorrow and just discovered his plans for tonight have been called off so I’d like to throw in another gift for tomorrow.

DS seems to enjoy playing on his phone with friends more than Xbox
I had zero idea about this sort of thing!
Those in the know… thoughts on something like this?

Just seen that iPhone 13 mini has the lightening charging port and not usb-c. What does that mean in terms of getting him that backbone one?
