Tell me about your dishwasher

My dishwasher has given up the ghost outside of warranty. It’s not worth fixing so I’m in the market for a new one.

Tell me if you like yours or if you don’t - my current one is a zanussi so I’ll be avoiding those as it hasn’t lasted long.

It needs to be integrated, have a sliding hinge and ideally a top cutlery rack rather than a basket.

Help!

They’re dishwashers - there’s not much to tell I’m afraid!

I have an integrated neff dishwasher with a cutlery rack. The man in the shop told me that they're identical to a bosch but a bit cheaper- no reason to disbelieve him.

It does the job fine. I particularly like the eco programme even though it takes 5 hours.

I haven't had it long so can't comment on longevity.

Edited to say I don't know what a sliding hinge is so I don't know if I've got one.

We recently renovated and have an integrated Miele. It has autodos, so about every month or so I put a giant, capsule of detergent granules in and the machine works out how much to use each wash. I wanted Miele for longevity because they used to have a 10yr warranty, but its only 2yrs now.

If you have a blue light card, call customer services and get 20% off, otherwise, they have a factory outlet where the stock changes daily. Ours came from there and other than a mark on the box- it was as new and still have a 2yr warranty.

TBH though- I wouldn't say it was SO exceptionally amazing compared to our old machine. There is another thread about people who hate Miele, so I don't know. So far, so good with mine though.

Second top tray for cutlery.
Thought I wouldn't like it but I prefer it now.

I’ve always had Bosch’s they are quiet.

Thanks all. I saw Neffs were cheaper than a Bosch so will take a better look.

The sliding hinge means that you don’t need to cut out part of the plinth to be able to open the door 😊

Think mines Hotpoint. It washes dishes. Quietly. No issues
