Gymnastics mat for DS to learn to front flip

DS age 10 main desire for Christmas is a gymnastics mat for tumbling around on… lots of variation in value online… does anyone have any recommendations?

He’ll need an air track - ask his gymnastics club what they recommend. DD had an air track which was £400 but she competed at regional and national level.

do not buy a padded mat as he will end up really hurting himself and unless he’s been trained to front flip buying him any mat is a daft idea. His coaches will take him through all the steps to do flips.

We bought one recently from Vowlt, reasonably priced and came really quickly. It’s the only one we could find that was 20cm thick which gives a softer landing. Ours has been dragged out to the garden and used indoors and has held up well!

Agree he’ll need an air track rather than a padded mat, especially whilst learning.
