First world whinge: I hate the way food manufacturers run competitions now.

So for example, if you see on a pack of sweets that there's a competition to win a holiday to Disney World - if you want to enter, you have to go through so much faff online. QR codes, entering all of your contact details, holding your phone up at a stupid angle to activate an underwhelming graphic, the inevitable 'Sorry, you haven't won this time'.

I know this isn't a big issue (I'm mildly embarrassed that I'm experiencing enough low-level rage to start this thread) but can't they just print messages inside the fecking packets, or put little inserts into the packets for winners, like they used to?

It's something that annoys me every time and I feel oh so much lighter now that's off my chest. Thanks for listening 😁

Haha, yes, I totally agree. Or you go through all the QR codes and enter your data just to find out the competition is closed!
