I have bought my partner tickets to a sporting event for Christmas that I know she’ll like but the actual tickets don’t arrive until two weeks before the event which is almost a year away! (Tickets to the final of a competition).

how do you present a Christmas present like this please?

Print something out (website info/tickets/team pic) and stick it in a gift card.

Lovely! Print a picture that is some representation of the tickets with the date/time/summary and put in a envelope with a bow on.

Print out a related picture, stick it onto A4 card, and wrap up.
For a child a small related toy (eg we gave cuddly wolf when doing junior zookeeper experience).

I’ve got both kids tickets to different things this year and I’ve ordered gift tickets from Etsy for both events. They came really quickly and are really good quality

DD is getting gig tickets. For one of the gigs she's getting an album with a label giving the details, for the other, a small item to represent the singer.

Ds is getting F1 tickets so I've got a guide book for the city its in (which will be used when we spend a day in the city) and then a card to open that states the details.

Print out your own gift certificate & wrap it up like a scroll.

Ask ChatGPT to mock up a ticket and print on card

HouseWithASeaView · 13/12/2025 11:12

If it’s a team thing and she doesn’t already have any kit relating to the team, could you get something like that and stick a print out to it? When we gave DS F1 tickets, we also got him a Lando Norris shirt. This year it’s tickets for cricket so we’ve got him an England cricket cap.

I use a ticket design website to design a ticket and then print it out and put it in something else.

I make a pretend ticket out of card and then put in a gift box and wrap. I'll save small boxes that might have had face cream etc in them if I've got a lot to do but for something more formal or a one off you can buy pretty boxes in places like cars factory usually

My husband got me tickets to a show and a night away last Christmas and thankfully the artist had a book out so he bought that and put a note in the book.

For my daughter we had tickets to a concert and had a scratch card/ticket made off Etsy. So they get to scratch off to see where they are going.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 13/12/2025 11:21

Just write it in a card

Or print out something from the website and stick it in the card

My husband got me Take That tickets for my birthday for the gigs in the summer, I opened a big envelope with sheets of paper inside that I had to look through in order. One was a picture of a circle in the sand (Belinda Carlisle) one was the script of my fave scene from my fave film (The Script) the a picture of a circus then the last one was the tickets that he’d created himself. A few years ago he got me Peter Kay tickets and wrapped up an actual garlic bread 😆 He’s very good at this!

DS wrote something out for me and wrapped it round a walnut, then wrapped that up, so I had a little present to unwrap!
