Items that I haven’t ordered

I bought (as advertised on Instagram) some face cream last summer from a company called Bexalora. I didn’t rate the cream I bought at all (lesson learned). The following month, an identical package of cream arrived in the post. Without my knowledge, I had ‘consented’ to a subscription for the stuff,

I immediately contacted the company - complained - but didn’t get my refund but DID cancel the subscription. Creams still in the packaging.

Fast forward to this morning and I have just received an email from the company saying that I have a delivery for a different cream on the way, and thanking me for subscribing with them.

I’ve emailed them immediately saying that I have not consented to any of this and I most definitely haven’t placed any order with them.

Is this a scam?! Has anyone ever come across this before?

Hi, I don't have personal experience of this company, but a quick Google of them shows you are not alone and they have form. I've seen someone suggest calling your bank and asking them to put a block on this company. That could be worth a try, hate things like this , so stressful

I don't know if you listen to the You and Yours consumer programme on Radio 4 but they have covered scams like this before.
You could try contacting the programme and they might be interested in this and perhaps give you some help.

Thanks both. I’ll give both these two suggestions a go. I hope the bank gives my money back - it’s only £35 but the whole thing makes me uneasy. I haven’t seen the program. I may look it up. I’ll read reviews next. Unbelievably dishonest
of them.
