Which size tablet computer?

11” screen or 13” screen?

13” will be more readable and more like a laptop in usability, but 11” will be more portable in a bag and easier to hold while using it.

Sorry do you mean a tablet or a laptop or desktop computer? And what’s it’s for?

I always prefer a bigger screen but I tend to always have it on a stand in front of me rather than trying to hold it. It depends on how you tend to use it most.

I got the smallest kindle as that's much more comfortable to hold in one hand for reading in bed and the largest tablet as that's more for watching video. What do you plan to use it for?

As my eyes get older I’m finding my phone screen too small, and I do not want a large phone. I plan to use the tablet as a larger version of my phone, for a bit of everything. (Except phone calls, though I’ll install WhatsApp on it, too.) I’ll get the sort of case that folds back into a prop, but visualise myself using it hand-held most of the time. Can’t use a stand while curled up on the sofa, for example.

Also wondering about the size of the onscreen keyboard. I can’t touchtype on an onscreen keyboard. One of the few occasions when smaller is better.

I think I’m talking myself into an 11”.

Yes with that use case the smaller one is better for you. I have a 13 inch and love it but I can't hold it one handed at all.
