Going this weekend, is it posh as in get dressed up or smart casual?

Very casual when we’ve been.

Mintymatchmakerheaven · 12/12/2025 17:10

Dishoom? You can go casual.

BobbyBrewstersMagicTorch · 12/12/2025 17:10

Not posh at all. Jeans are fine.

Eggybreadwithnuts · 12/12/2025 17:11

No, I wouldn’t. It’s Dishoom.

VegQueen · 12/12/2025 17:13

I feel like there are very few restaurants in London where you can’t wear jeans. I have worn jeans to Michelin star restaurants. Dishoom is definitely casual but if it’s for a special occasion, you may choose to put more effort in/dress up a bit.

Not at all posh. It’s just smart casual or very casual. I love Dishoom - you get the same welcome whether you’re dressed up or dressed down, dining alone or as a party of 12.

Enjoy, the food, drinks, service and vibe are the best.

Terrytheweasel · 12/12/2025 17:14

Jeans but feel free to dress up if you want to

TheChosenTwo · 12/12/2025 17:14

jeans are absolutely fine, it’s casual.
I think Dishoom is a bit overhyped (maybe not so much anymore) but the masala cheese toastie is good and the cocktails are nice! The ambience is really vibrant and there’s a good buzz about the place. Dd1 likes it so I go with her sometimes and we are very dressed down.

MarbleDrive · 12/12/2025 17:15

Honestly, every time we have been to Dishoom (and it’s a lot as my husband loves it), I have never noticed anyone in anything other than jeans-level casual.

blankittyblank · 12/12/2025 17:17

Most of London is very casual. You'll have a dress code somewhere like the Ritz, but that's about it.

PigeonsandSquirrels · 12/12/2025 17:19

Jeans are fine… people go in trackies
