Anyone in Vienna for the Christmas markets?

I’m not sure if I’ve posted this in the best place..

If you are there now what’s it like? How crowded is it? Busy but bearable or just rammed?!

Do you have any recommendations? We want to do quite a bit of sightseeing, not just markets.

Have you had to book meal reservations and tickets to attractions in advance?

We are off next week. Booked ages ago, but haven’t planned anything yet.

The tram that goes round the ring road is great - no special one needed - goes past all these huge old grand places!! There isa very lovely outdoor food market with bars about 10 minutes walk from the centre - Vienna Naschmarkt

If you like art I recommend The Belvedere Palace. We had a fabulous meal at Restaurant Motto am Fluss a few weeks ago. Not cheap but the food and service were excellent.
The Hundertwasser Museum was really good too.
