MI5 in real life

I'll preface this with saying I'm a bit of a fan of MI5/spy type movies and TV dramas (slow horses, James Bond etc) and I know they aren't true stories....

However I was in London yesterday with DH and we were walking along the south bank. I (lightheartedly) mentioned that I was keeping an eye out for people with ear pieces in talking into their sleeves or people in rain macs sitting on benches talking to each other out of the sides of their mouth or picking a package out of a bin!

This morning my DH read to me something he'd read on the Internet (probably reddit) about someone noticing a handover of a plastic bag on the tube!

I just wondered if anyone has ever seen any MI5/undercover type activity in real life?!

I could tell you but ill have to kill you afterwards.

I interviewed for MI5 and got to the fifth stage of seven, still sad about it 15 years later!

Royal security around Charlotte and George while at Battersea park years ago.
Strange men at the park standing in weird locations long before I spotted the kids.
They left equally strangely like they were never there.
Cool experience.

Anytime I have dealt with the security services it has been incredibly tedious
