Bloody cat poo 😡

Any one got any other ways to stop the multitude of local cats pooing on my lawn? We’ve got those battery operated devices but they are no longer stopping them.

We put coffee grounds out. We’ve tried most things in the past and nothing seems to deter them, but at least I’m not spending money.

Fed up of having to wash my trainers after accidentally stepping in it.

Squirt the cats with a water pistol.

I would if I ever saw them doing it!

What about a motion activated sprinkler thing?

So how do you know it's cats? The vast majority of them want to bury it.

There is a queue of cats waiting to do their business in my next door neighbours woodchip. None have ever just done it on the grass.

Our neighbours opposite use one of those high-pitched sonic repellents and say it’s very effective at keeping cats out of their immaculate back garden.

Tell that to my cats who try and bury their wee but happily just shit on their litter and then wander off 😂

We found that using orange/ tangerine peels helped.

So once we've eaten the tangerine.

Get the peel. Rip it to small pieces and scatter across your lawn every 2-3 weeks.

Not had any poo since

Also they advise to remove the poo as well.

I tried.those

And they hurt my ears. We had it set up correctly.

I had such a bad ear ache. And the started with ringing in my ears.

I had to remove it. Worried about the kids ears.

Because I’ve seen them doing it in the past and there’s lots of cats around unfortunately. Neighbour has seen them too. Yes, they do poo on grass

Getting a dog works! Bit extreme though.
Got any dogs that can ‘scent’ your garden for you?

Already got one.
Its the front garden they are going in.
Ive read that lion/tiger poo works, so if anyone knows a zookeeper…..

If your garden is 'enclosed' and they come in predominantly over a fence put anti-vandal paint along the top of all fences. They really do not like it. You will have to re-do it every 6 months or so.
Legally, you need to have a sign displayed to say you have anti-vandal paint - for the potential vandals not the cats.
Be aware that if they do walk in it, they may take it home and transfer it ... a bit like the cat shit!

SillyCecilia · 11/12/2025 14:24

are you sure it’s not fox poo? The poo in our grass are from foxes. Cats are more likely to do it in our flower pots.
