Can anyone help with this santa request??

Ds is 3 and had been talking very consistently about what he was going to ask santa for, for Christmas. So I went out and bought and wrapped what he said he was going to ask for. Then this week we wrote his letter for posting and he's now changed his mind and is adamant that he wants to ask santa for a blue boat with a sail and a flag. Won't stop talking about it and has been telling everyone that's what he's getting.

Does anyone have any ideas where I would find such a thing without spending more than £20 because I've all his other presents bought? 🫣🫣

OP this came to my mind given his age. Could perhaps be his inspiration? The boat posted by the previous poster looks like lots of fun play potential too btw.

Ahhhhhh we don't watch much TV at home but this actually makes so much sense as I think they watch this in nursery sometimes and he does like it! I couldn't understand where this had popped into his head from! Thank you all so much you're magic! Little blue boat secured!! Now let's just pray that his mind doesn't change again in the next couple of weeks 😅this is the first year we are properly doing santa with a list etc and I'm starting to see that this is going to be ... interesting.

Why do they do to us?! 🤣🤣 Glad its all sorted now though!

CombatBarbie · 10/12/2025 23:51

Im glad it makes sense, just want to say though, last time I watched it was when my 18yr old was about 3/4yrs old..... and it was still what I instinctively thought of 🤣🤣

Glad you have solved this. It's not Christmas without an eleventh hour request for something that doesn't exist.

Ha ha, time to start writing it early and making rules of "you can't change your mind, the elves are already making it" that kind of thing

There was one year in our house where Santa had to write a letter of apology to leave in the stocking as he had brought the wrong colour Power Ranger (that dates me!).
