M and S Christmas Food & Drink Xmas 25

Evening all,

Has anyone sampled any of the Christmas specials in m and s food halls and do you have any recommendations for what is worth buying food and drink wise? I'm tempted by the munch tub, are the pretzels edible ones or are they those that are really dry?

We only have a small food hall so sadly only really purchase Christmas and easter etc as you can't get a full shop there and it's a decent distance away with no car park nearby but I do love m and s food. The party food makes my mouth water each time I see the advert but in reality last year it can be a bit expensive given last year had beans on toast as one of the options.

Hoping to go Friday, do you have any recommendations?

(yet again there's no return of the mince pie Irish cream they did for lock down Christmas 😪🤤 the tirimisu one sounds nice though)

You can order all M&S food from Ocado!

I highly recommend: Honey & Mustard Roasted Parsnips in the foil tray, Belgian Chocolate Yule Log, and Chocolate covered custard creams.

Thanks, but we don't have one. I have asked ocado to open here but just keep getting "keep your eyes open".

I have used them at the brothers house 90 mins away whilst I had his kids for a week and was very impressed.

Thank you for the heads up, I'll keep an eye out for them!

The peppermint bark is delicious - outrageously expensive for what it is, but I’ve made my way through 3 tins thus far (having started in September the day it landed on shelves 😂)

Haha I was tempted by that last year I must admit. Still tempted... But also tempted by the caramel version I saw on the magazine thing online!

I’ve had the merry munch in the past and we’ve enjoyed it, have an unopened tub of peanut butter jelly munch which we plan on opening at the weekend. I’ve not had any party food so far this year but have enjoyed the pigs in blankets macaroni and I’m not a massive fan of macaroni. I love the gingerbread and white chocolate cookies, and other family members love the chocolate peppermint candy cane cookies.

Oh I'm glad to hear the peppermint bark is good as we have a tin in the cupboard!

I absolutely ADORE their fresh festive baguette. It has sage and cranberries in it and is lovely buttered with some soup.

A lot of their party food was on yellow sticker in my local store today so I bought some for the freezer. The mini chicken tikka naans looked good.

We tried a few bits last year and the munch tub was decent, pretzels weren’t super dry. The party sausage rolls and cheese twists are usually a safe bet, but it does add up fast, so I’d just pick one or two treats rather than going mad.

The ham and cheese scones in the party food range are insanely good.

HashtagShitShop · 16/12/2025 11:22

Yeah that's the only problem, I usually get one of those large zip up freezer bags full of fridge/freezer and some bits in a normal shopping bag with the other bits and it's over hundred quid on essentially nothing.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We used to love their scampi but it's like 7 quid a box now which is steep considering the amount you get, thank goodness its only Xmas once a year! Their curries are lovely too!
