Does anyone else enjoy matcha green tea lattes?

I drink masses of coffee, I am a coffee addict and drink 6-8 big mugs a day, which I know is too much. So, a few months ago I tried a matcha latte at Starbucks for a wee change and I really enjoyed it. I googled the health benefits of matcha and it is supposed to be good for you - antioxidents, mental clarity, blood sugar control to name a few. So I bought some off Amazon. First purchase was absolutely vile and went in the bin but second purchase was Perfect Ted matcha and I absolutely love it. I am having a couple of matcha lattes a day, making with different milks - cow's, almond, oat. Loving them all. I have been on to the Perfect Ted website today and ordered the pistachio matcha and am very excited to give it a go. Is anyone else a matcha convert?

Tried a matcha drink in Neros and it tasted like grass. I don’t get the love for it!

I really love it, I get why some people don't though. It's nothing like the tea we normally drink in this country. I got a flavoured matcha advent calendar this year and I have loved it.

Ha! I came to say ew no, matcha tastes like grass but I've been beaten to it. Don't get the love for it at all. 🤢

Also, is this an advert for Perfect Ted? 🤨

I bought some strawberry matcha in Aldi. It's alright I guess. Nothing amazing

It's grim. I thought the only people who drank it were influencers.

I like it. It can be a bit grassy but it makes an interesting change from coffee! I also buy the PerfectTed stuff (not an advert!) and have actually found I prefer it without milk. The blueberry is great, might have to give that pistachio a try though!

I’ve tried a few but I think it’s just vile. Prefer a chai latte.

I love matche green tea. Sometimes I really blow my head off and find a smokey Japanese one, it's so strong on caffeine.

I enjoy them, I just make them at home though mostly, I've had a a couple out but mostly just at home. I don't like coffee so quite like these as change from ordinary tea.

I used to buy really expensive matcha and make lattes at home, or have it as a shot with orange juice. The powder was a bright green.

Recently, I tried a matcha latte in a cafe, and it tasted of fish flakes. It was vile. It was also not a very bright green. It reminded me of cooking grade matcha, which is fine in biscuits etc but in something like tea/latte.

I am no expert being only a recent convert but I think the quality of the matcha makes all the difference and it is nicer made with any kind of milk and a frother. Makes a nice change from coffee if you are a coffeeholic like me.

I love them but I can't get it mixed or Dorothy at home

I have it as a tea

It's an acquired taste.

Please be warned it may interfere with iron levels though !
