Two dishwashers? Yay or nay

So trying to think through what to have in my new kitchen. Overall I want to keep things pretty simple but would like to allow myself one indulgence.

The thing that currently appeal to me most is having two dishwashers. I do tend to use the same items most days, so could generally have a “clean” and a “dirty” one.

I also do a big batch cook about once a fortnight and on that day I often run the dishwashers two or three times due to the amount of pots/utensils. Emptying it in between loads adds to the overall stress of that day.

So if you have two dishwashers, how has it worked out for you?

I have two dishwashers but don't do the clean and dirty one, we fill them both and run them both every day. It means that I can have the pots and pans in one and everything else in the other, which saves a tonne of washing up. It also means that when the dc fill one during the day with their lunch stuff and forget to put it on, we aren't sitting waiting for it to finish (and have to empty it) in order to load up the dinner stuff.

If I had the room and could do it, I would always put two in.

Next time would have 1 slimline and 1 regular, as family needs change
