Help!! Huge red spot

Bloody typical, I rarely get spots but have woken up with a bright red stonker on my chin. Any tips on how to get rid of the redness as I'm going out tonight to celebrate my birthday 😡

i would just get into the seasonal spirit and paint a couple of holly leaves either side of it Wink

Happy birthday! Yeah the holly leaves idea.

Transparent pimple patches - unfortunately they won't completely cure it in a day but they can really calm down the redness and make it look less inflamed (also reduce the urge to pick at it, if you're anything like me)

Blister plasters or hydrocolloid patches. Failing that, toothpaste.

Disappointed there's no pic

Drying lotion is your best bet for next time. I buy it at boots for my DC. Spots disappear overnight. Enjoy your night out and don’t worry about it.

FeliciaFancybottom · 08/12/2025 18:33

Sudocrem is the best thing for those stonkers.

Honestly..you do Not want to see this!! I stupidly tried to squeeze it and it's gone worse now. Ffsake. At least the restaurant we're going to has very low lighting!

You're teasing me now. A video of the attempt would've been even better 😆

A sterilised needle this morning to pierce it and give it a channel to release the pus below the skin surface, followed by the application of the neck of a glass bottle that has been heated under the hot water tap. As the bottle cools a suction is formed over the area that the bottle neck has contact with the skin and the pus is drawn to the surface and released into the bottle.

TCP dabbed on afterwards and again during the day and by the evening the spot would be barely noticeable.
