It can't be avoided unfortunately as my daughter has an event to attend. We will be Soho/Mayfair way as well, so possibly one of the worst areas for a Saturday in December.

I'm looking for somewhere I can book for a late lunch to take two 13 year olds and then something to do for DH and I between 4-8 whilst they're at the event.

Can anyone think of anywhere that won't be mega crowded. I think I'm asking for the impossible and this is a long shot but I may be missing some hidden gems.

@HundredMilesAnHour even for London that's early for large drinking crowds ?

Christmas party season and the City and a Thursday…..it was always going to be drunktastic. I was trying hard not to laugh at a group of age 60-ish men in expensive suits who staggered past me hiccuping and wobbling and clearly worse for wear at 6pm as they were heading into Liverpool Street for their trains home. You see a lot less of that in the City these days but at this time of year it’s back and plenty of people will have been drinking for 6 hours by 6pm. 😜

Last weekend I walked right past the Fortnum and Mason shop windows, and never even caught a glimpse of them ... too many tourists! We had to walk in the road. If you're going, go early, that's my advice
