I’m looking for a desk calendar for my bright and cynical 18yo DD. I am not after 'positivity' or to “cheer her up” with fluffy cliches, but to offer occasional little prompts, something that might quietly nudge her to notice how she thinks or what she cares about, in a way that doesn’t feel forced or cheesy. I'd rather it wasn't marketed specifically at females, and if it has a touch of humour, even better.
I've come across this one in Amazon that doesn't look too bad although the 'self-love' title is off putting. I wonder if there are ones out there with more subtle or grounded daily reflections ('school of life', Rumi, James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, Virginia Woolf, style, etc), so not about “being happy,” but about small truths that make you think, realistic perspectives, or gentle helpful reminders.
I'd appreciate thoughts and suggestions! Thanks!
