I need therapy but the NHS is fully booked until March and I can't afford to go private. Any ideas

look for a low cost provider near you, although there is likely a waiting list there too

Do you know what type of therapy you need? CBT? DBT? Research which would be best for you and then perhaps get some books and listen to podcasts to tide you over until the NHS has space.

You might consider someone in training. I’m a hypnotherapist, so slightly different, but we have to offer free sessions as part of our training. Consider contacting a local college or similar training provider to see if they could connect you with a student.

They will only be able to do that if it is part of an organisation. Students have to be supervised on placement. Low cost agencies is where trainees practice. Some of the universities have their own schemes for this.

OP, if you tell us wherein the country you are roughly, we can point you somewhere specific
