Good Morning All! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, with dd2 🫨 after a nice snuggle with boy cat. I've put the washer on already for work clothes and uniform, and have a few pots soaking in warm water.

My plan for the day is to actually decorate the Christmas tree! So far it has about thirty miles of twinkly lights, and not much else. I'm going to bake the Christmas cake as well that I've been trying to get round to since October half term, and hopefully get the last couple of online gifts ordered/booked.

IF I get through that, I've got a set of festive peg dolls ready to paint for work. I plan to do it all at a very slow pace.

Dd2 is apparently off to town with their Dad to shop for me. She says she has good ideas so I'll leave her to it - she knows what I like.

I'm not sure what's for tea yet, definitely something easy, before I shower and head to bed 💤.

Morning all. It chucked it down last night, but it’s dry today although very grey.

Am having a fairly lazy morning, mostly cuddles with the cats while scrolling on here. About to shower and wash my hair, then am off to look after a friend’s twin boys this afternoon. When they were younger I’d be roped into hide and seek, playing with toys, etc. Now they’ve started secondary school, am sure they’ll be on their games console and I’ll be scrolling on here 😂

Then back home for the evening. Jacket potato, sausages and beans with something on the TV.

I’m having a tidy up and will maybe wrap some presents, DH is at the supermarket and DC are chilling. We’re doing the local Santa Dash at 2, then me and DD are going to see Wicked at the cinema this evening.

Have ds10 friend over today. Ds14 still in bed asleep but hasnt planned to do anything today, had a busy week looking at colleges and hes wiped out.
will have a cheeky chinese later when Ive dropped ds friend home. Nice & easy!

Getting dressed and heading into the city for a bit of Christmas shopping then dinner in my favourite seafood restaurant with DH. Teen DD is off to the supermarket for treats with adult DD and they have a movie afternoon planned followed by takeaway.

Afternoon lucysmam and to u all . Late today as out last nite with my sister in laws so feel very delicate today . Today husband is out for a few pints so I’m going to finish rest of my wrapping and tonite will be an Indian with strictly. Have a great and safe day all 🫶

Not quite morning, but happy Saturday @lucysmam and all.
I was up and out early for a haircut and had a lovely, slow potter around town on my own. Bought a few Christmas bits and heard the brass band playing carols, which always reminds me of my ddad.
Rugby is cancelled today so I've gained a few hours I didn't know I had. I'm going to have a cup of tea with my dmum, then try to finish online Christmas shopping and maybe even do a bit of wrapping - very early and disturbingly organised for me.
Dh is working so I will probably go and meet him for a drink when he's done, then it's Thai curry for dinner and more Slow Horses, or maybe we'll start Stranger Things. Christmas tree is going up tomorrow so we need to get the decorations out of the loft as well.
I've no idea what ds16 is up to - he's lost on Saturdays without rugby so is still mooching around in his PJs.

Awaiting the F1 qualifying with bated breath!
Present wrapping, card writing and putting up the tree after that.
Need to take a wreath to the cemetery and drop off a few cards with the dog.
Dd is going out for her works Christmas drinks in a few minutes and dh is taking her so I'll get 20 mins peace!

We were up until the early hours this morning getting DDs windows painted before her return today and that is done, and room hoovered, cleaned and bedding etc washed - the builders took over it before when doing new bathroom without warning so had got dusty. We have got her new curtains and those will go up tonight.

Getting her back for 6 weeks or so from university today, well DH is, as she has so much stuff. I got some cakes from the bakers in for her return though her DB has munched his way through a lot of them already. Will be lovely to have her back. Cat is very confused, all the talk of her return but she's not there so he keeps coming for cuddles with me.

Afternoon all I’m late to the thread today. It’s been a busy one I have been out and bought an overpriced Christmas tree as the cheaper place had sold out. It’s now looking pretty and the house is looking festive. The dog has been for a groom and smells nice. I have ordered takeaway for tea as there is no food, it’s being delivered later! I have work to do once we have eaten that I seem to have avoided all day but I have the electric blanket which helps!

Been out Christmas shopping with DD this morning and I think I'm just about done.

Made a Christmas Cake for my friend who burnt hers yesterday.

Blitzed the kitchen so I might spend some time tonight wrapping presents (when DD is on bed as she is an absolute hindrance!)

Thai Green Curry on the menu for tonight so will go and make a start on that in a second.
