Hi, I have been with my dp for nearly 2 years after we met on Bumble. I didn't have a lot of other dates after being single for a year, but one was really odd and I just thought there must be some funny stories out there!
First of all his name on there was Adam but when I spoke to him it was Richard! He seemed embarrassed and said he didn't know why he had done that.
Planning the date, he said he had an elderly dog which he couldn't leave alone for the evening, so I picked a dog friendly bar which I knew. He was fairly new to the area.
He came along with the dog which was smelly, and all over me for the whole date. Really, he was a nice enough guy who I didn't fancy, but the dog thing did make me think well who would want to be so tied down. He didn't know anyone local for dogsitting at all.
The real shock came though when he announced that in a couple of weeks he would be flying to Thailand for 4-6 weeks, can't quite remember which now, for a holiday with a female Thai friend, with whom he would be SHARING A ROOM...I just wondered who would put themselves out there on a dating app looking for a potential partner when this was on the agenda?
Surely nobody would be interested ?
Anyway, would love to hear more weird stories about online dating.
