Anyone else got this awful flu?

I’ve never been so ill in my life. Felt a bit off yesterday morning (achy, strange brain fog) but was able to get on with my day. It all hit me like a brick last night and I’ve been totally bed bound since. 40 degree fever, coughed so much that I’ve thrown up, muscle pain, weakness, incredibly sore throat and awful sinus pain.

The news reports are saying that this is a strangely long lasting strain - not sure how I’ll survive another week of this!!!

I feel your pain. Just over a week now and I'm still coughing a bit but the other symptoms had eased up a lot by Tuesday and by Wednesday, I felt quite good. Like you, though, it was the sickest I ever remember being.

Yes! I was really poorly for about a week and then gradually felt better, 3 weeks on and today I am finally feeling normal again. Unfortunately DH and one DS15 currently have it, my younger kids just felt rubbish for a couple of days but recovered quickly.
