Does this warrant burial under the patio?

My husband finishes work early on a Friday and is home by 3pm. He brings home two pain au chocolat and we have them with a cup of tea. Today he came home empty-handed! He actually laughed at my shocked Pikachu face.

Pain au Chocolate and tea

Under the patio for both of you

Its strictly Coffee or Hot Chocolate only

PashaMinaMio · 05/12/2025 16:21

Just tuck this omission up your sleeve and disappoint him sometime soon with something you know he’d like.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

sprigatito · 05/12/2025 16:21

Send him back out. He’ll learn 😆

noidea69 · 05/12/2025 16:22

He's obviously given your pan au chocolat to a women he's having an affair with.

RendeersDancingTowardsChristmas · 05/12/2025 16:25

Nah to cold for digging up the patio.
I'd order his favourite takeaway and let him watch you eat it.

Unfortunately the nearest shop is 10 miles away, and I'm not that heartless!

Disgusting behaviour, definitely time for a new patio!

Its friday - have wine instead! 🥂🥂

CoastalCalm · 05/12/2025 18:05

This is why I always have some frozen ones in the house

Doggielovelouie · 05/12/2025 18:06

Definitely!!

what the hell is happening over there!

PandoraSocks · 05/12/2025 18:07

What was his excuse?

PortSalutPlease · 05/12/2025 18:07

Pain au chocolat is for breakfast, not for goûter! What you need is baguette with chocolate spread. Or even better - CAKE!

Gatekeeper · 05/12/2025 18:09

Divorce the bugger and may I say that almond croissants are far better and "more sofishticated" <my dear, late mam's pronunciation >

What - you put them in the freezer instead of under the patio?

Weirdo.😂

snoopythebeagle · 05/12/2025 18:18

YABU for having pain au chocolat with a cup of tea.

Straight to jail.

He can walk ten miles

GooseyGandalf · 05/12/2025 18:25

Red flag! The love bombing stage has ended. He’s obviously already isolated you from your family, friends patisserie and made you dependent on his treats. Time to get your ducks pikachus is a row because this will only get worse.

PandoraSocks · 05/12/2025 18:07

What was his excuse?

He didn't even have one! Just shrugged. However, he is currently baking a chocolate cake to make up.

TheBewleySisters · 06/12/2025 15:49

Thank you for the outrage on my treat-less state. The chocolate cake currently in the oven will more than make up. But he has been warned ....

My husband is supposed to be bringing home crumpets today. I'll help you dig if he doesn't OP. They can both go under it.
