Toyota Yaris Cross? Opinions?

Posting here for traffic. Anyone have this car? If so, how is it? What’s your verdict? Thanks ☺️

Opinons based on tthe 2 wheel drive Yaris Cross Excel c/w City pack. We get 68+ in summer, starting to drop now due to electric seats being used etc. Heating is odd and is comfort and never hot even with A/C off. You need Aircon on duirng cold weather to keep the winscreen clear. Annoying bunch of controls by your right knee, that do auto headlights, camera for all round when parking etc (which is great to have but why there?) boot opening etc.

It is very bossy about breaking, lane control, etc and often slows you right down when it sees a car parked by the kerb. It will self park if you want it to. Boot is great and has 2 levels, we added the proper spare wheel and dumped the pot of glue.

Have the dealer fit the Dashcam - which is good, connect the car to your home wifi and update maps etc.

The battery has been known to have issues and you can't leave the car parked for a couple of weeks as the 12V battery which is used for starting rus down due to the in car electronic and you need to leave it started and in ready mode for abut 1 hour to keep the 12V battery topped up.

Noisy drive could do with more noise insulation.

While it does not have a heated windscreen you can pre heatthe car from the App on the phone. The app also allows you to find the car by the map, remote lock / unlock and plot a route from where you park the car to the front door of where you are going.

I loved mine, panoramic roof, magnificent fuel economy, defrost it from the office or the house, parks itself. I needed a bigger car as I've now got 3 dogs and I can't find a car with nearly as many useful things so I've really had to compromise, fab car
