Mumsnet, help me out please!
For years I’ve had a song stuck in my head, I’ve no idea who it’s by, why I’ve know it or what the lyrics even are. I think it might have been on an album I owned in the early/mid ‘00s but that’s when I had disposable income and bought dozens of albums every month and went to gigs in small venues all the time, where I would buy albums for the support acts that I would listen to once or twice.
And now this same song is on an advert for Gold Blend! It shows a couple making their coffee with shots of how it’s harvested etc, then after the end shot of a jar of coffee has an extra bit that seems to have been tacked on advertising their refill bag.
Shazam can’t pick up the song because of the voice over and all I’m getting on google and YouTube is old adverts from the 80’s.
The song on the advert is a slow piano ballad but is sung by a woman, I’m almost certain the version I know was sung by a man.
We all know how good Mumsnet is at this sort of thing so do you thing please and solve this mystery that’s been driving my mad for years.
