Is this acceptable to wear to an Indian wedding?

I’m going to an Indian wedding in Thailand next year for one of my friends. I’m also going to be a bridesmaid. I have a light pink dress (Indian style too) for that. But I also found this dress on Vinted and bought it for one of the ceremonies and evening events (it’s a 7 day event). Looking at it now, the dress is a lot more purple than I expected and much sparklier so I’m worried it’s too much. Any opinions? Thank you!

There are at least 2 UK South Indian "Vinted" companies. I can't remember the name of them now, but could probably find them through Google. 1 only sells wedding outfits (bride, groom and guest). The other has a more varied range.

It’s perfectly fine, just don’t wear the scarf like that as others have already said.

It looks great but wear the scarf hanging from the shoulder or draped across the outfit and pinned at the side rather than on the head. Your friend will really appreciate you made the effort.

I think I was in your previous post, I asked if you’d post a photo of the light pink outfit when it turned up (Vinted, I think?) and it looked gorgeous! I think, like others have said, this one looks lovely too and I do think your friend will appreciate you making the effort. As you said before she knows you don’t have a lot of money and she’ll just love it that you’re there and have made a massive effort.
