Ear plugs for concerts- recommendations?

I am looking for recommendations for ear plugs for concerts.. I keep seeing adverts for Loop experience. Has anyone tried them or tried other brands that are good? As kids are growing older we have a bit more freedom to go to hear live music but I’m starting to get some ear ringing sometimes and other minor hearing issues and don’t want to make it worse if possible.

Musicians ones, several brands available for about £15. Or loops.

I have alpines , DH has loops , both seem effective

CMOTDibbler · 04/12/2025 18:54

I have both Loop and Alpine and prefer the Alpines

@CMOTDibbler Can I ask why you prefer the Alpines? Is it the sound, or the fit? Or?

I used Loop Experience for the first time at the weekend and loved them! SO comfortable, I could barely feel I was wearing them. Took away the harsh edge so no ringing ears but also no muddiness of sound, everything was clear and distinguishable. Front row right next to the speakers at a hardcore show so I'd say it was a pretty good test.

My previous pair were Senner, similar sound quality but very uncomfortable after about 45mins and I'd often have ear irritation the next day from all the pulling them in and out trying to find a better position!

I'm happy with my loops. Haven't tried any others for comparison though.

@Parata both. I have stupidly small ear canals and the Alpine has an XS tip which is better for me, but I think the overall music quality is better - though this may depend on what music you are listening to as I go to rock/metal gigs so bass heavier
