Does this sound like one virus rolling into another?

My 11yo old DS started with a sore throat last week (Sunday / Monday). That lasted a couple of days before an awful snotty nose and cough ensued. This Monday (1st Dec) I took him the the pharmacist, as he is asthmatic and his cough was sounding very wet, and I was concerned about him developing a chest infection. The pharmacist checked his chest and said he was happy it was clear, but to go to the doctors if it didn't improve within a couple of days. FF to yesterday, and he was still coughing; his chest and stomach were sore and he was very hot overnight (not really registering a fever, but he had two large red circles on his cheeks). The paramedic we saw at the GP surgery said she was confident that it wasn't a chest infection, and that he should improve over the next few days. She said if he gets worse / stays the same, then to go back to the docs.
He's had really barely any appetite since last Monday, and has had tummy and headaches (headaches only since Monday this week). He has a friend who also has same symptoms, but he is on day 3 (whereas my son is day 10), and myself and my daughter have had similar symptoms too (not the extent of the cough).
Well.. overnight, my poor boy had a bad tummy ache and today has been vomiting non-stop. He said he still has a bad tummy and headache, and he's exhausted. He did mention that someone in his class vomited on Tuesday.
Does this sound like one bug rolling into another? He is a lean lad anyway, and has lost weight due to having no appetite. Should I give him until Monday and see how he goes before going back to the GP?

I am based in Somerset, in case our bug levels are unusual!

It sounds like what I have - nasty cough, cold symptoms, since last Thursday, vomiting and diarrhoea started on Tuesday this week. Have times when I think I’m getting a bit better but then go downhill again. Going to do a Covid test tomorrow. Vomiting and diarrhoea both listed as Covid symptoms on nhs website. My kids have all had the cough etc but not developed the gastro symptoms

Have a look at post-viral syndrome

Thanks @badkitty that sounds just like what he has! I have had the cough and cold, as has my DD, but DS’s cough has lasted longest. It’s much better today but he’s requiring an extra puff on his inhaler. I did a Covid test and that was negative (this was Wednesday). Hes had bad diarrhoea today and is eating more, but taking baby steps as dont want him going backwards
