New Year's Eve Daytime Activity Ideas.

Previously we have gone to the theatre to watch a Panto on NYE during the day then put the kids to bed and sit and watch TV, nice and relaxed.

But Pantomime tickets are so expensive now, looking for ideas of something fun to do with the kids during the day. After all the excitement of Christmas and the few days around it we tend to have a period of slobbing in the house and NYE is the kick in the butt to go out and put on something other than elastic waists ready for starting the New Year and back to school/work routines.

Any suggestions.

We have a birthday on new year's eve in my family, so we always go out and do something like ice skating, bowling, those fancy mini golf or ping pong places...this year we're doing an escape room! It's really fun and gets us home in time for cake/dinner/party/whatever the plan is.

We went caving one year which was brilliant. Also went to an aquarium once. We often will go for a nice walk if the weather is decent too.

Last year we went swimming! It was practically empty, the DC (and I) barely had to wait for the slides. Plus it was good to get out of the house. We don't do anything for new year but by the time we've been swimming, come home and had baths/showers, it's practically dinner time.
