How often do you wash your bras?

I have just invested a King's ransome on some new bras from Bravissimo.

I have just looked on the care instructions on their website, and under "how often should I wash my bras", it says there's no set rule, but they'd recommend every one to two weeks.

I'm not sure if they mean after continuous wear, or that you wear more than one bra during those 1-2 weeks.

I've always washed mine after a maximum of two wears. Maybe that's why mine have never worn well - I've been over washing them.

How often do you wash yours. And do you machine wash or hand wash.

If you hand wash, what detergent do you use?

After 3-4 wears, using the handwash cycle in the washing machine. They probably don't last as well as actually handwashing but I cba with that.

I wear for a week then wash (in a bra bag in washing machine), unless I’ve been particularly sweaty. Every 1-2 wears does sound like it would negatively impact the longevity of the bra.

I used to wash them every weekend.* I'd have two on the go on any given week and I switched between them each day. So one would get worn up to 4 days per week before being washed. But, while I have an oily scalp, I'm not sweaty in the boob area unless it's the height of summer.

*I don't wear bras anymore because I'm so flat I barely fit an A cup. I wore them for shape, but there was nothing to support.

I change mine every two or three days, more often on hot summer days. I machine wash them in a mesh bag, and they survive it just fine despite being underwired.

I rotate 3/4 bras throughout the week and wash them all on ‘bra-less Sundays’ (DH’s favourite day of the week 🙄)
