Is anyone here on testosterone?(with their HRT?

I've been on HRT for 4 years now..fully menopausal. The hot flushes are more or less under control, my sleep is slightly better (5-6 hours a night) but my sex drive is dead. Gone. Awol.
As I am still reasonably fond of my dh, I'd really like to want to want sex again, and at my Hrt review today it was suggested I can trial testosterone. Had bloods taken and if all well, will get started very soon.
Other than slightly worrying that my occasional chin hair will turn into a hipster beard😆I'd love to hear of anyone else's experiences...has it worked? Any side effects? Thanks!

I started a couple of weeks ago. No effect so far, but it's early days. I have virtually zero libido but have a lovely DP and would like to get back in the saddle. Also interested in improved mood, focus, concentration etc

I had a baseline blood test and it was 0.5 nmol/L. The bottom of the 'normal' range was 0.5, so I knew I was in the lower end of normal

I have been for approx 8 months. I'm taking it to help with brain fog, low motivation etc. It does help. No side effects I have noticed.

Hi guys. I'm not on hrt atm as I had the coil out earlier this year and have just gone back to zero on it all. Anyway, I had the "female version" of testosterone, whatever that means, and I'd just put a tiny blob on me each day. I recovered a tiny bit of my libido 😆and i think i might have had more energy. Anyway, I will be going back on the hrt once I've sorted out my progesterone and I'm looking forward to the testosterone the most. Think mine was called androfemme? Pink tube. Anyway, I had to pay for it privately a year ago...definitely worth a try. And no I didn't grow a beard. Maybe the leg hairs grew back a bit quicker but I'm not sure.

If it’s the correct dose etc it won’t give you facial hair or anything like that.

All women already have testosterone naturally in their bodies. All HRT does is replaces the testosterone you’ve lost in perimenopause. It isn’t enough to make you ‘masculine’.
