My dear friend had her baby boy last month and I would like to buy her/him a special present that they can keep for a long time. Budget is between £50-150
Please inspire me

Does baby actually need any thing? I usually give a just eat or food delivery voucher to new parents. Definitely something everyone i have gifted it to would take it over any wrapped gifts.
If you really want a gift for the baby I would get some hardback books that can be passed down through the ages

What about a nice jellycat? Or I’ve seen some really nice suitcase boxes to keep all their special things in?

As a new mum this year, we were on the receiving ends of lots of presents for baby. And to be honest most of them I resent as they are just taking up space we don’t have or are things not at all to our taste that we had to pretend to be thrilled about. So if you do buy something physical I would say keep it small!

The best presents for us were gift cards so we could actually buy things here and there we needed for the baby. I would have also liked it if people had put money straight into the baby’s savings account, or bought something like Premium Bonds! Not really for baby but the most thoughtful “gifts” were friends bringing us home cooked meals for the fridge/freezer so that we didn’t have to think about cooking.
