Next year I have a business trip to the US which involves a transfer at Schiphol in Amsterdam. I am scheduled to be there about 90 minutes before boarding my onward flight.

I won't go through passport control or anything, will I?

Yes, and you also go through security with your hand luggage as well.

No - come off one plane and go to the gate for the US flight. Something I’ve done regularly.

I know I'd have to go through security again as I did that in Heathrow earlier this year.

But passport? transfer time looking tight then, hope the Dutch are efficient.

If its a transfer no. If you have just booked two flights as that works then Tues, you need to go through all the security both ways.

No it's booked as a through ticket with KLM from the UK then Delta on to the US (who are part of the same alliance).

From Schiphol Airport website

Are you arriving at Schiphol from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Singapore, Cyprus, Serbia (only flights from Belgrade), or one of the so-called Schengen countries? Then you do not need to go through security again.

Ah, OK. That leaves more time to get a coffee. I'm on a very early flight out of the UK and will be wiped out by the time I get to teh west coast of the US.
