Would you freeze a Charlie Bingham’s meal?

A Charlie Bighams meal I ordered, arrived in my food shop yesterday. It has the 3rd on, which is obviously today.
I could eat it but I fancy a take out 😂
Would you freeze it, even though it says on the packaging not suitable for freezing?

Absolutely, why would you not? It’s still in date.

Twiglets1 · 03/12/2025 17:08

They say Do not freeze on them.

I would get the takeaway tonight and eat the CB meal tomorrow. One day past the use by date will be fine.

If it says not suitable for freezing, then probably not. But it will probably be OK if you do.

Does their funny wooden packaging freeze ok?

Personally, a day out of date, especially on an item like that which is already processed and cooked, wouldn’t bother me and I would eat it tomorrow

houseofisms · 03/12/2025 17:10

It probably says do not freeze as it’s a premium item and wouldn’t be as good as fresh…… so fine to freeze!

Isn't it the same as a takeaway? It's hardly cooking to bung a ready meal in the oven for half an hour. I'd eat today and have takeout tomorrow or even better properly cook tomorrow

Thanks all. I will eat it today. I think it’s the rice that they don’t recommend freezing.
