Would you give this as a present to a 9yo boy?

My dd needs a last-minute gift to give a friend. We’ve got this… is it suitable or too strange to give a 9yo boy?

Do boys not like cupcakes?!! Mine absolutely loves them!

user2848502016 · 03/12/2025 20:14

I think it’s fine but depends on the boy. I only have DDs but based on my nephews I think 2 of them would like it but one would have maybe said it’s “for girls”.
My DH would like it too, he has more baths than me!

What’s girly about a burger and washing? Is it any wonder people want to try and change their gender when people have opinions like this.

I think it looks perfectly fine for a 9yr old.

Honestly its the pastel colours and cupcake

I would buy it for my child but I would think that as a gift, youd think twice 🤷‍♀️

But is it a cupcake? I thought it was more of an ice-creamy thing or maybe milkshake?
I have three boys and they all would have loved it at that age. I think it’s good - as long as they have access to a bath and not just a shower.

Glamba · 03/12/2025 21:16

@Pandorea yes I think it's meant to be a mcflurry.

No matter, it's done. Another of her friends will get to enjoy it instead. Thanks for updating OP.

Exactly. Instead of everyone falling over themselves to affirm children who feel they are trans, they could challenge all this sexist nonsense and let both boys and girls be free to like whatever they like. Nothing is ‘for girls’ or boys, unless we decide it is so and all you mums colluding in these ideas are part of the problem. Not having a go op, I just am shocked by the general trend of the comments and think people need to think what they are actually voting for here - a world where there are strict rules for how to be a boy or a girl. Horrible.

I was going to say no, but not because of gender, I just thought it was a bit dull as a single gift (more a filler type at xmas)... happy to be proven wrong based on many pp replies! Obviously skewed by the fact I hate baths 😂

I felt the same! Didn't even consider gender!
